Our second NWFR members adventure to Zeballos, Vancouver Island was a huge success. The fishing remains very good for Chinook salmon, halibut, lings, and bottom fish. The lings were smaller for us this year, but still an outstanding fish by Washington standards at 26 to 28" each. The Chinook ran bigger so I guess that balanced things out, lol.

Highlights of the trip included losing a big Chinook to a seal, first time for me, and pulling prawn pots and then eating those same prawns immediately after. The food is always great at Reel Obsession Sport Fishing. Chef Jason does an amazing job and the rest of the staff are great as well. Special thanks to deck hand Curtis who helped me out big time on his day off no less. All and all we and our NWFR members were very pampered!

This year's member adventure in addition to a great discounted rate for our members also included free NWFR swag, t shirt, and drawing for over $1,000 in gifts for the two groups that were with us.
