For all of you out there who were unlucky, the fish do not always jump in the boat and I can sympathize. Seems like for every great trip to Roosevelt there is a matching poor one in my records. The water was cold, muddy and drawn down last Saturday. I was fishing solo and only ran downriggers with flies, hoochies and spinners. I never fished above 10 feet, which may have helped get bites. I also did not stick to a spot as I fished from Spring Canyon down and back, Swawilla and the bluffs at Keller. A big zero fish. I just see the coaches in Happy Gilmore laughing and saying better luck next time, as I throw a rod at them across the lake. Not really though as peace was in my soul, and an exposed tree at the bluffs gave me some treasure. Thank you to whoever donated the vance's flashers and apex, and if you are reading this I will get them back to you!

Tight lines,

TK

Darn, slim pickin's when an old snag gives you your only luck! The entrance to Eden Harbor is usually good. Thanks for the report. Andy

Thanks for the report, not everyone fesses up to the days the fish win. Stick with it you will get the best of them soon. I did real well with CaptainDaveGS last week at Spring Canyon but it wasn't really my trip so I didn't post. The water was reasonably clear then but the darker water was headed downstream. I haven't seen a Kokanee since October. Think we need the water to clear up and warm up.
Stay after em, it's the right thing to do.

E-10: That launch is Spring Canyon. Way low!
AFK- That is the truth! Thank you for a name to the place. That shoreline all looked good to me!
Part-Time- Thank you for the kind words and I fully agree. Right now I'm thinking May and June will once again be steller. I am definitely guilty of not fessing up but felt it was my duty here and will try to include the good with the bad more in the ftuture. On that note I also fished back in January up at Swawilla and only managed two rainbow. Was running only sidewinder planer boards for the first time and forgot the downriggers at home, doh!

Nice pictures, especially the one of Eden Harbor! "The Fish Market" is right across the river from there, where I fish from the shore. You got out and that is the important part, the fishing will get better!
Thank You for the positive comment on my post on the 14th!
