Arrived at Spring Canyon launch at 7:30 and we were trolling towards Plum Point by 8:00. The weather was overcast with almost no wind and light rain on and off. We had five lines out. Two on sidewinder planers, two on the down riggers and one flat line out the back. We fished all our lines from the surface to down to 20 ft. Our first bite came as we rounded the bend near Plum point. It was a nice fin clipped rainbow that was almost 2 pounds. We crossed over towards Swawilla Basin and caught another keeper Rainbow and one real nice 20 inch kokanee. The Kokanee sure put on a show, jumping multiple times and pulling out drag. It weighed in at 3pounds 10oz. After that we trolled back toward the launch with a few more bites but no more fish in the boat and headed home at 5:00. We tried Rapalas and Flicker Shad as well as an assortment of Mac's and Shasta tackle spinners and hoochies but all the fish came on pink hoochies. We tipped them with maggots and used Anise Krill sent. It was a fun day on the water but the fishing was pretty slow. Three fish in 8 hours. We were hoping to find some more Kokanee but I guess that we will have to try again next time.

Was thinking about giving it a shot, but sounds way to slow for my patience. Maybe next month. . . .
