7/10/2016 9:18:00 AMand you are totally correct, the river recovered nicely after the rain on Thursday and was back into temps that should hold the fish. I am heading back up there this afternoon for another go.

ished the evening of thee 7th and the morning of the 8th with my uncle out of Brewster.
The 7th we managed to get 5/6 fish in 3 ish hours from 630 on, fishing pink hoochies behind a dodger.
the 8th we had camped on the boat (in the rain and wind) got up and were fishing at 4 am and we were limited on socks by 7 with one nice king on sock gear.
The foolish moment of the day was trying to land that king n my sockeye net, having seen the fin i gave up on untangling my larger net from a poorly placed rod and tried to scoop it in my sockeye net, but it was about 6 inches too long, and the beast slipped back out after the hook snagged on the net. At first i thought all went to plan, but then i discovered it cost me the trailer hook on the rig... Oh well, it was fun to watch my uncle fight that on my lighter sockeye gear.
The rain sent the fish moving up river on Saturday, but the bight was consistent if you found the lanes the fish were traveling. we continued to catch sockeye on king gear until we packed up just after lunch.
Sorry for the lack of pictures.
