Launched at Keller at 8am and headed up river to begin our search for the sometimes elusive Roosevelt Kokanee. Fishing was by no means fast and furious, but rather leisurely and relaxing. Today I found these fish to be rather spread out. We hook some near shore and some out in the middle. By utilizing planer boards we are able to cover alot of water and increase our odds of a fish seeing our presentation. Today we fished flies, apex, and plugs. Fish didn't seem too picky. They bit on just about everything we tried. Baits were presented subsurface at 4-15' trolling at 1.6 mph. Setbacks 75-100'

Landed all 6 kokes we hooked today plus 3 bonus bows. Not a big numbers day, but man alive these fish are good eating. I just scarfed one off the bbq smothered in brown sugar. Kokes were all around 18" and bows were 16, 18, and 20".

Feel free to contact me if you would like to employ my services to enjoy this wonderful fishery. I would be happy to spend a day on the water with you.

P.S. Where are all the Spring Caynon reports? Its my fear that the fishing is good and I was not there to enjoy it. Does anybody have info on Spring Canyon good or bad?

I can tell you that I fished out of Spring Canyon the weekend before last, mostly from Plum Pt. to the Wynhof Cove area. I had limited success in that area, and decided to run up lake of Keller the next morning. I had significantly better fishing in that area. I'm planning on hitting Roosevelt again later this week, and am also deliberating launching out of Keller of Spring Canyon.

Thanks for the good report and the fantastic pictures, those fillets are really something arn't they. Keller it is for Thursday then, I was kind of thinking of going up the Arm for Burbot because the reports from Keller haven't been that good but your report has made up my mind.
I had 2 friends launch at Spring Canyon a week ago and even though they know the area well they only picked up 1 Koke out of the Basin. But maybe it was one of those off days, seems like others have has some slow one too.
