Fishing continues to be absolutely fantastic in the Brewster Pool. We are having incredible action fishing for Sockeye Salmon. Today we landed 12 sockeye in less that 2 hours. We started our day at :4:45 am and we're done sockeye fishing before 7am. To say that this fishing is incredible would be an understatement. We should continue to see great fishing for the rest of the month as long as the weather stays hot.

I fish this fishery without the use of downriggers which I find really let's my customers get in on the action. We troll our dodger, hochies, and shrimp combinations in the 15-30 foot depth range depending on time of day and where the fish are holding. To reach these depths I use cannon ball sinkers in 4, and 6 ounces trolled 25-45 feet back on my line counter reels.

I have some availability this week and the last 2 weeks of July, so if interested in a trip please give me a call at 208-861-0654 and let's get a trip set up.

We are fishing with weights, too. But we're getting our butts kicked this season. What speed are you trolling? I haven't gone to 4 ounce weights, but 3 ounce at .8-1.9 mph. Very frustrating because last year was a lot easier. I just don't understand how I can't match the downrigger depth. Any thoughts/help? Thanks.
