2/2/2014 9:21:00 AMWhat a beautiful kokanee. If it wasn't so far to come from Castle Rock, I would love to head over and enjoy the wintertime fishing with you. I'm not sure my camper would not freeze up in that cold of temeratures. Also my Lund doesn't have a top on it so I would be out in the weather. But I'm glad to see you having such a good time and staying warm.

2/3/2014 12:23:00 AMonrrka007 - I did finally figure out out that the orange clouds I was seeing on the sonar were most likely zoo-plankton daphne. The water was loaded with fish in those areas and we caught trout that were full of them. I also sonared kokanee (Lowrance HD7 with Airmar P66 Transducer) in the 30 to 40' range. Not schools but individual fish. Didn't take the time to target them; maybe next time!
