launched at porcupine bay, and worked upstream jigging for walleyes, tried the flat by blue creek, off the points, even ran way up the spokane arm with little luck. We had a few hookups and landed one small walleye. but the water was dead calm and it was nice to get out in the boat for the first time this year.

I've noticed that dead calm up there often means dead fishing. Not always, but often. Still, there's no real bad days to be on Roosevelt. Even the rough ones are a "fine and pleasant misery."

Kshorey,

You might try going downstream from the launch. A week ago my buddy Glenn and I caught 36 eyes on a dead calm day. Then last Friday Glenn went out and caught 50 eyes, again downstream from the launch. Due to the lack of draw down this year I believe it is slowing down the upstream progression of the eyes. I know we complain when they draw it down too much or not enough, never satified I guess.

CCTMark, yeah after we got back we heard that downstream and near fort spokane had been really good.
