Took the daughter out for some walleye and smallmouth action. Launched at Porcupine bay at 530 and by 700 we had caught our first smallmouth for the day. Once the cloud cover came in and the wind picked up a bit we started catching walleye. All were in the 15 to 19 inch range. By noon we had a limit of 8 and started focusing on Smallies. By 330 we had caught 16 smallies the biggest one going just over 3lbs. We caught fish all day what a great trip for my 9 year old.

Sounds like a great day to me! Which direction did you head out from Porcupine? Upriver or down river to the confluence?

We headed upriver to start out with but caught most of our fish downstream towards Fort Spokane. Jigs and lipless crankbaits.

Sounds like you did well in the Bay. I came over form Bothell from the 20th-23rd and did OK all 3 days. Even got 2, 7-lbers, on consecutive days, down in Hawk Creek. Caught limits of Walleye and a lot of small Smallies largest being 2 1/2 lbs. Released all but one smaller Walleye which came home for dinner. Was a good trip and everyone seemed to be catching them.
