Wisdom teeth were pulled out on Friday and a couple of days of taking it easy and boy was I ready to rip some lips!! Called up Dafishslayer and another friend who had never fished Lk. Roosevelt for Walleye and we were on for a President's Day Massacre!!!!
Left Medical Lake at 5:30 a.m. Got to Lincoln boat launch and water was like glass, hardly a breeze . Water is down 20 ft. or so and I was wonderiing how that was going to effect the fish??
Headed down river to our favorite hole and started the drift. We used the bow mounted electric trolling motor to keep us verticle. Fishing wasn't on fire but we did manage to catch 11 Walleyes and 2 trout. We missed several fish too on the reel up, one of which looked to be a monster, I could barely see it and boy was it big!! Oh well! Keep your head up DB, we kept the razor blades and rope away form him cause he was on suicide watch after missing that epic fish!!!!!!!
All in all it was a great day to be on the water :) And my buddie that never fished for Walleye on Lk. Roosevelt ended up having the hot hand! Tossing a few nicknames around for him, stuck between Mr. Miagi Fishslayer or Sensay Hookset!!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Thinking the fish are moving up towards the Arm, going to have to start hitting it hard asap!!
Tight Lines YO!!
