We headed to Lake Rossevelt to fish for some walleye and smallmouth. We were on the lake at 5:30am and got to our spot around 6am. It wasnt 15 minutes and I had hooked a keeper walleye. In another few casts I had hooked a large smally. The day continued in this fashion (maximum of 45 min. between fish, but usually a lot less) until we decided it was to hot (for us) and left around 3pm. We caught about 15 fish total (6-8 were keepers). If you want to catch fish, find a bay (even a small inlet), and fish the two points that are formed because of it. i.e. the opening of the bay near the shore. Cast up to shore and reel back. We used crankbaits, but a jig with a worm will get you action too. Good luck.
