Made the trip to Roosevelt yesterday and put in at Seven Bays. Still needed to do some break-in on the kicker, so spent the first hour and three quarters taking care of that. I did throw the lines out while doing so, but break-in procedures were not ideal for trolling. We "trolled" from Seven Bays to Two Rivers Marina, then crossed the confluence and headed to Fort Spokane for a picnic lunch. No strikes or hits at all during that time.
We had a nice lunch, almost shirt sleeve weather, then loaded up and decided to head up to Split Rock and try again. Passed almost a dozen boats working the area in and around outhouse flats, but we weren't going after walleye today. We trolled around Split Rock for about 90 minutes, and had no hits, so we decided to call it a day and headed back for Seven Bays.
Can't bring myself to rate the beautiful sunny day on the water less than a 2 even though we caught no fish.
