I went to my friends cabin after a slow day at work. We started catching fish away with power bait. The bite died down and we went plunking on a boat. Caught a few more on power bait. My friend lost what looked to be a 3 pound trout at the boat. It was starting to get dark and we went back to shore to settle in.
We were drinking beer when we noticed that the trout were taking bugs off the surface. I casted a 1/8 oz orange/red armadillo spinner by fishcreek into the fish circles. The 6 pounder attacked the spinner before I could reel in, It was one of the best fights of my life on light tackle and 6 pound line. My friend netted the fish after a long battle. I was still shaking from the adrenaline fush. WOW. This is my first report and fish for 2010.
