Visited a small lake in the Snowking Mtn. area and the mosquitoes were almost unbearable. The fishing was worthwhile. Didn't catch many but it is a spawning lake with RB's from 1 inch in the outlet stream to a 24 inch 4.5 pounder brought in on a fly. Average was about 12-13" No marked trail & it is an assertive hike but proved to me that some of the small lakes out there are worth investigating. Sinking line was a must, couldn't get takes without getting some depth. Forgot margarine & lemon at home so garnished our trout in blueberries when we placed the foil in the coals to cook. Might be the best outdoors trout I ever ate. P.S. the 24 incher went back in - too fine a specimen to cook & I want to try for him again!
