Thought I would throw in a good fish story. This lake is huge! Just a couple of good hints for the fisherman. It would take you about 3 hours to drive around the lake. It grows blue algae that is harvested in the summer months. The lake is at an average depth of 8 feet. That should give you a good idea of the lake I am speaking of. Ok one more easy hint K.F. OR. Everybody fishes the lake the same way. I like to try new ideas to land the big ones. I was using my bass boat. Fishing like I do for bass. Out about twenty feet
throwing to shore with a shad colored crank bait that I use for bass. The only thing is I was fishing for was huge rainbow trout!. Came around a spot where they were dumping water out of a farmers land. I mean a lot of water was coming out! My first throw received nice bump. One thing about this lake if you miss the first strike you won't get another chance. Just for fun I have a ultra-light ugly stick that is so small there is no reel screw downs just slide on for your reel. I threw out a fire fox small jig in orange color right at the
pouring water. I felt a little tap and set the hook. Oh my god the fight was on. Thank god I had a trolling motor to follow the fish. It took 1 hour to land this trout. I forgot my net that day and had to lip this monster. Bleeding and tired I weight him in at 12.5 pounds on 4 pound line! Two cars pulled over to watch me fight this fish! More stories if you want to write me I will tell all. web3me@netscape.net
