Fished at about 9:00 am saw many more than than last week. More fish pushing up in the last week. Started at the mouth of the cascade river, and saw a lot of salmon. Started with a Twitching jig didn't get much. Kept changing up colors until I pulled out the #30 Hawken Twitching jig started with an aggressive twitch and saw three decent sized fish chasing it. Then one of them Inhaled it. Fish twisted and the jig popped right out of its mouth. Wasn't to happy. Nothing on the jig the rest of time I fished with It. My dad on the other hand was very persistent and was dying to get a fish. Switched him up to a #8 twitching jig and fish on in five minutes. fish was released and went up river a little bit, to the Rockport Cascade river bridge and pulled out the wicked lure gold pink and got a nice hen. Good day fishing had a blast.

The Cascade river closed for salmon retention November 30th.

Make sure to check the regulations before you go fishing so you aren't poaching illegally. There are many river closures that have gone into effect starting today as well.

Did he say he kept them? Nothing wrong with catching a coho or 2 while targeting steelhead. You fellas need to relax.

All fish were released I put down the coho thing because that is what I caught I don't target certain fish species and kill them I go out on the river and fish. Coho is what I caught that day so that is what I put down Note: ALL FISH WERE RELEASED!
