Oregon, Sixes River Fishing Report
Two clients and a guide caught three wild Chinook and two hatchery Chinook. The two client tags were filled with approx. one 20lb and other fish around 15-18lb. Water level at the Grange put-out (Hwy 101) was at the top of the three foot mark and dropping. Color was gray turning blue. Very few to no leaves. Bait was plugs and sardines. Fishing was from a 17ft drift boat. Trip took seven hours from mid-point (put-in) to take-out. This was an intentionally slow drift with fast water. Lots of bites. One fish extremely aggressive with taking line both down and upstream with full drag. Attention should be paid to the culvert hole and the Mansion sand bar for holding fish.
