Decent early morning outgoing tide so I thought I'd hit the lower tidewater. Others had the same idea as well, there were already some dudes plunking and a guy tossing spinners when I arrived. Found a spot upstream 70yds or so that looked promising. Lost a few setups early on, but I quickly learned where the snags were. Fished about half an hour before I got my first fish. After that, the bite came on. Limited out in the next few casts.

Ive been reading a lot of your reports and I hope you dont take this the wrong way BUT what's the deal with all the jacks? Do you ever get a normal sized coho out of the green?

I may be wrong on this but the green is heavily netted by the tribes and most of the big fish will get pulled out of the river by them. Only small fish get a way and by the looks of it so did the guy on the bottom of this pic as he seems to have net marks.

There just aren't a lot of big fish in the Green. Average adult size I've encountered is around 20-24". 27" or bigger is a rare fish. Two of the ones I got today were just over 20" and the third one was 23". I would love to catch bigger fish but they just aren't as dumb or abundant.
