Had to get out after all the rain and try for some Steelhead. Had been successful this time of year in the past and wanted to try again. Apparently other people had the same Idea, because when we were getting ready to put in at the launch more and more drift boats pulled into the parking lot.

Well we launched and tried a few holes above the Hatchery with no luck. Did see one bank angler landing a fish just above the boat shoot. Went and hit all the likely spots with my favorite gear with no luck. Lots of boats in spots I normally fished so, I kept looking for an open spot to fish that hadn't been beat to death. Talked to some veteran fisherman that had landed 2-3 so we new some fish were around. Finally in a run I had fished in the past we found our one and only Steelhead of the day. A nice Hatchery buck in the teens.

Was really surprised at a couple of holes that were just flattened and filled full of debris on the river from the floods in the past.
