Weather: Cool autumn temperatures
Water Temp/Condition: Colder than normal, milky white flow, slowing flow over the past several days with cooler mountain temps and no rain
Anglers: Only about 10 after-work anglers on the Carbon at the narrow channel. Best time to fish the pools after and before the rapids

The COHO are running! Fresh pinks are still entering the river. Several zombie humpies running the pools trying to encourage the females to spawn up river.

Two anglers, two hours, 3 pinks, one jack chinook, one fat mama coho.

Thanks for the report. Where is this narrow channel at? I was at the treatment plant last night and only saw a couple pinks caught.

GF - Park at the skate park, make the long walk in (i actually bring my bike). When you get to the river, cut back to your left. The entire Carbon has to pass through that little 20 foot channel of water. It is a staging ground in between elevation gains and rapids. If the water is flowing fast, play the far bank. If it is slow, there is a deep channel at your feet on the rocks. I fish just above the lower rapids. There are a few snags, but three lines that the fish take. I can clean up when everyone is having a slow day.
