Chinook Salmon

Went home empty handed, but I landed my first 4 hatchery kings today, and lost about 3 more. My hand was sore after fought all these kings, and I am very happy with it. Most of the fish are already colored, but I also got a very bright king.

I hope you know that it is illegal to target chinook on the green and duwamish

I was using yarn and corky, the same setup as I used on Puyallup to target pink salmon, but only the kings took my presentation on the 112th hole (on the left side of the bridge).
I'm sorry that I not really mean to target chinook, but decided to stay on that hole to fish because the bites were good and thought that more pinks will bite soon =))

That's fine, as long as you weren't targeting or keeping them

Is funny how "certain" types of people assume you're targeting Kings when it was simply an accidental catch. I totally see why you wouldn't wanted to show your identity because "certain" kind of "folks" will go ape shit on you. Certainly no shortage of dilrods on the Duwamish or on these forums for that matter.

Nice fish anyways, I genuinely appreciate how you are handling the fish in proper manner. Keep slaying them PINKS!

Thanks for posting.

I'm sorry @fishee2 but I respect our rules and fish... I found it hard to believe that he hooked 7 kings without targeting them, especially since he didn't hook a single pink

I guess I'm just that "certain" kind of "folk" that's respects things

After hooking 7 kings, I think it's safe to say you were targeting them. One is a cool by-catch. Two should be a sign it's time to switch things up a little bit. 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7? Complete disregard for an endangered run of chinook - even if they were hatchery. Shame on you and more shame on you for reporting it on the internet.
