Well I figured today was the day to turn things around. If you would have told me a week ago it would have taken me 2 trips to the river to pull out a pink I would have laughed. That being said after the skunk Thursday. I went out at low tide to the Duwi near South Park. One of my never let you down, crappy scenery, but normally good fishing places. 730-930 none for none. Saw nada get hooked by anybody. Went and got breakfast. Decided to give it another go a bit closer to home. Down near Fort Dent. The tide was well on its way up. Went 1 for 2 in a hour. Finally :) pulled out a nice hen. Nice to get the skunk off. Back to basics for me. Tight lines.

I switched to 6lb test mainline and 1/4 oz jigs slow twitched right on the bottom and it changed everything for me. Went from no fish caught Friday to limits yesterday and today. Deep pink Jughead's with pline squids color #022.

I did notice that each of the 2 I put a hook in were right on the bottom like I thought I got a rock. Off to a strange start to say the least.

All salmon tend to hug the bottom, you may see them roll and jump but it always dive back to the bottom. I have luck counting to ten before I start jigging.
