Sounds like your doing pretty good for your first year, fell in the mud and only lost 10 jigs. Your gonna lose more than that.:) don't give up yet. There's gonna be a lot of fish soon.

8/22/2015 1:44:00 PMThe guys at Outdoor Emporium know their stuff twitching jigs is a very good tactic for pinks. Losing gear is just part of fishing but there are ways that you can prevent that. Try not to cast around structure like logs you will most likely snag on them. Don't let your jig sink all the way to the bottom when twitching for pinks I like to start twitching after a three second drop. The mud in the Duwamish is slippery if you have studded wading boots wear them or just try and steer clear of muddy spots. Some spots on the Duw have less snags than others the spot I fish has only one. The fish will come I like to fish the low tide. Try drifting corky and yarn with some eggs too the fish will hit that pretty good too. Tight lines and dry waders.
