Got a late start but fish were biting all morning of and on. Lots of people throughout the river, but there was always some action going on. I used the regular long leaders and 3/8-1/2 cannon ball sinkers. Used two small corkies and yarn to get the hooks off the bottom. Walked in and found a spot after negotiating with someone's friend who said his friend was fishing there. I said no problem just tell me were he was and I would gladly move over. His friend came over and asked him were he would like me to stand. He chose his spot and there was still plenty of room. So that out of the way I casted out and hooked up with the first cast, Fish ON! Four or five fish later he became very freindly.
No big deal just the way it is on the river. Just try to be courteous and go along with the crowd and everything will be fine. It's not as if Pinks are hard to catch. There are plenty out there. Caught and released over ten before I left. If I see someone looking for a spot I always invite them in even if it gets a little tight, that way you have a freindly relationship with the guy next to you.
The only things that bother me are the litter bugs and the guys who walk out into the middle of the river in front of the rest of the guys. Please if you pack it in take it OUT !!
I cant wait for the silvers to show up!! Tight lines have fun and relax. Keep fishing and you will have success. Sometimes if you feel yourself in a slump move over a couple off rocks. Really it makes a difference.
