Fished all day with Gringo Pescador, his brother Gene, and friend Jim. We launched out of Toledo at 7am. I had to remind myself that this was Saturday as there were no rigs at the launch, unreal! As we were setting up a boat came by and netted a nice 10-12 pound chrome steelhead. Sweet!

We fished side drifting eggs and corkies. Gringo got lot's of practice running his boat and by the end of the day had side drifting down pretty good. We both agreed that guides make it look easier than it is. I also got to run Gringos boat - that 200 hp motor is a beast on a tiller!

Anyway, for us the fishing was tough. Jim got a nice 6 pound fish, but much to our surprise it wasn't clipped so back safely went. We saw a few caught during the day so hope springs eternal for tomorrow.
