Fishing on Idaho's Clearwater Has been fantastic over the past week! We have been getting boat limits most days and the days we have not had a full load of keepers we ended with plenty of opportunity. Most of our fish have been caught backtrolling divers and eggs and back bouncing the deep holes. During the high water in the spring we target water very close to the bank that is moving slightly slower than the main current. When back bouncing make sure you are using plenty of lead. Most of the places we fish we look at 10oz as the starting point and go up from there. This is one of my favorite time of the year to be on Idaho's Clearwater River. I cant think of a better way to spend a day then chasing great tasting spring Chinook in great early summer weather. I have openings over the next two weeks so get in touch with me and i will let you know what I have open and how to get your trip booked. We are never sure on how long the season will last so you better get in on this opportunity now!
Fish the Columbia, Snake, and Clearwater Rivers for salmon, steelhead, and sturgeon. For drift boat trips on Idaho's Clearwater and Washington's Grande Ronde rivers, we fish out of a 20x72 Willie Drift Boat.
