Worked in Lewiston friday for a few hrs midday so I decided to Head to Orifino and see if I can do as well as last weekend.well I noticed the mainstem Clearwater was muddy and kinda high. Headed to the Northfork and the spot I fished from last week was 3' underwater. I fished from around 3 till dark. I had one fish on long enough to get a good look at it. Nice big fish. Lost it trying to grab it by the tail, rocks/boulders were very slippery in the rain.

Got up and headed to the river only to see it was still high if not a little higher. Fished near the Ashaka bridge and slightly upriver. No take downs no fish rolling ect. Just had a bad feeling and decided to head home and just rest this weekend.

Always got to try! If I fished all day I might have got a few just didn't feel like it this trip. I will be back. Might try the Salmon river in Oregon next week if I have time.
