Hit the Wallace early this morning in hopes of a steelhead so I hit the log jam first around 730 with no luck. Went up to the hatchery and walked down from there and no luck either. I was floating different jigs with night crawlers and coon shrimp. Decided to hit the Sherman hole cause I saw someone catching trout so I started floating a work off the bottom and was catching rainbows and cutthroat trout all day. Fun time, all put up a decent fight. Lost a good size fish at the bank but caught plenty of chunky ones. First time targeting bows and cutthroat on the Wallace and definitely won't be the last

Dang, I'm so jealous, not really ever fished rivers around here, wanting to, but will need to make a better effort. Great day just being out, better day when it's on,..props,...

This is great, would never have known, maybe take some small dick nites and drift through those areas with light tackle-or a light fly rod, thx for the post

Sounds like a good day Kastmaster. You must have been fishing the same hole as Jon B. Live worms will catch anything in the river. You might want to try spoons and spinners with barbless hooks so you don't hurt all the small fish you caught. Thanks for the report!
