Well, although November was a rough one to start the steelhead season, we are finally seeing our first decent pushes of local hatchery steelhead. I am hoping it just gets better from here on out. Ive been testing a few river systems, and they all are showing signs of life. My favorite has been drifting the upper skagit, it has produced cascade bound steelhead daily if you know where to look. Also some chum around to pull on the line still on the systems! The stilly and sky are also putting out a few early ones. It should only get better from here! Lets fish!

So that's what a winter run steelhead looks like? :)
Nice work, Stoney; way to put those "northern bound" steelies to the bank.

Tight lines, sticky hooks.

beautiful fish. I'm looking to get me some of them this coming weekend. Do you think the fir island bridge would be a good place to start or would the upper (cascade area be a better place?
