Went fishing with a friend this past Wednesday and had a great day. Fished the reformatory hole and knocked them dead. My friend always called the silvers his unicorn, because as hard as he tried he could never hook one. Well he finally did. I caught one right off the bat using a lure called a wounded minnow, bright silver with a blue back. Fish came up from the depths and hit it as I was pulling the lure out of the water. nice bright hen about 13 pounds. My friend through out a gold and orange spoon and wham! another bright fish hit as soon as the spoon hit the water. Another bright hen. Fished another couple of hours and only a couple of hits. We through everything in our boxes at them. I decided to float some eggs and had two more on the banks after another half dozen drifts. A great day. Weather was beautiful and my friend finally caught his unicorn. Been a great season. Been out about 10 times and have never gone home empty handed. Most days went home with 2 or 3 nice fish.

The reformatory hole isn't on the snohomish. It's on the sky and is behind the prison in Monroe.

Attached a couple of pics to recent today's post. I guess I didn't hit upload. Is the reformatory hole behind the prison in the Sky then? Sorry for the misinformation. New to the river systems here, grew up and fished the Cowlitz, Toutle, and Kalama River systems down south. Went out today with son and came home empty handed for the first time.

The area you fished(based off your hotspot) is called the "confluence". Its where the Skykomish and Snoqualmie meet and can be lights out when fishing from a boat.
