Ok so I rarely post but I had to share today because i'm stoked! After reading tips from jj I have been trying to figure out ho w to tie and fish with my own jigs. Today it finally happened. I hiked up on top of a log and saw a coho deep in a pocket. Thought there wasn't much hope but what the heck eh! So I gently lob my freshly tied chartreuese jigjust above her. As it drifted down she turned chased it down and gulp right in front of me. Fish on! How freakin awesome and excited I was. The fish itself isn't spectacular, maybe 5-7lbs and a bit dark but it is the effort in figuring out these jigs that made it awesome. Thanks jj, I'm hooked on this jig thing for sure now! If I recall correctly I need to name my jig now eh, so I apologize for the name but I'm going with "the schart" because it was mostly chartreuse and because I just about filled shorts when I saw the take down.

Tight lines eh!

So cool! Great job! I learned how to tie watching JJ's videos too :) Now if he would just make one showing how to tie the infamous "bruised hooker".... lol
