So my boss was super cool today and let me jet out at about one. The only bad part is I had to run home to grab eggs and my waders traffic was fine heading north but solid heading south 45 min trip cost me two hours. oh well I had fish to catch.

I get there and the fish are all over. Super stoked until the first hour goes by with not even a hit. I started with jigs for a little over an hour, nothing with that so I switched to eggs. ABout a half hour into that and I thought it was ticking on rocks well upon getting it unstuck I realized it was a rather wiggly rock, wait, Fish on! landed the first hen that measured out to 22"

I moved holes and switched back to jigs, I tied up a whole bunch for this weekend and promptly lost about ten tonight. After about an hour of jigs I finally nailed a larger one. I probably looked like I had never caught a fish before as my net was caught up on my float rod, so I did a limbo fish landing dance for a bit until I had another chrome hen on the bank. This one came in at 24"

Why is it that they constantly rise everywhere but where you seem to be.

roughly 4 hours of fishing with only two to show isnt the best day but ill take it for sure!

Way to go. Maybe not hot and heavy, but you made it work. Hope it just gets better from here. Nice job....and I think we've all had those moments where gear gets caught up in everything and you feel like you're putting on a comedy show. After hooking a Pink a few weeks back, I took a step back to grab my net (which attached to me with a rope), stepped in the net prior to grabbing the handle and managed to catch the net on my boot of which I couldn't get it tp release. Must have looked like a royal boob, but in the end I got it all worked out and the fish in the net. Function over form I guess. :)

reminds me of when i got out of work early and headed out to Puyallup but forgot that the fair was in town! what was supposed to have been a 1 hr drive turned into 2, which meant 1 hr less on the river. fortunately fishing was good, and it sounds like it was also for you. 2 fish or 20, you got your silvers!

thx for sharing your story and pics. would you mind sharing more info, or pics, of the jigs you used? and did you cure your own eggs?
