I took my bosses friend out today. I taught him how to drift fish. I started out by showing him my set up, how to tie it up etc.. I cast it to a group of surfacing fish and let it sink down. Tap tap hook set legal caught pink to the bank and released proper. I was exstatic that I actually got one in like that. His eyes lit up. He had trouble with his gear at first. I switched his rod with one of mine. After a few drifts he gets his first bite, fish on. And immediately off. I said not to worry just try again then bam fish on. He hooks up I coach him on fighting the fish. After a nice fight caught his firat ever salmon. Awesome..after he bonked his fish we both fished I caught more than a dozen he got another 2 to the bank.prison hole. I didn't charge this person. This was my first time ever trying to teach a stranger how to fish. A cool expirience. We both had a blast catching pinks. I released all mine. He kept his fish.
