The weather was extra freaky this afternoon and I thought the fish might dig it. Wow, was I right! Not sure how many humpies I caught but my arms are tired. They definitely prefer lures that are short and skinny. Best was a 3/8 oz orange head with crosscut pink & purple rabbit strip + two hot pink drift balls threaded onto the shank. When it started raining, I was catching them on every cast. Seriously.
BTW: Maxima Chameleon is a fantastic line for leader. I used 12 lb and never lost a fish. Not bad considering that I was fishing on the bottom all day! (Rocks dented my jig heads -- big-time.)
Also ran into SpoonMan and his family. It was nice to see another WL member. He was catching lots of fish too!

Great to be back, Quad! Let's go humpy fishing. A couple of guys were catching a few silvers in the slough on Friday, so it's only a matter of time until they get thick in the rivers.
