1st light bite was HOT yesterday and I missed it, how about today?
Took my brother and a couple other friends out for coho before the nets went in. We launched in the dark and motored up to the South Park bridge before dropping plugs. We pulled plugs (along with many others) from the bridge ot the power lines and back. Nobody was getting anything, fish were everywhere but jaws were locked. After awhile my brother's rod got hit but we missed it. Trolled a little more then decided to anchor up and cast for a change of pace. For the next few hours we sat in the middle of a school and threw everything at them. Finally I picked up a nice bright hen on a 50/50 Dick Nite. Bonked, bled, iced and a few casts later I hit a buck - a little blush but I was looking for smoker fish anyway so bonked that one and went back at it with renewed hope. But that was it, we fished until 11:30 and trolled our way back to the South Park bridge (riding net boat wake the whole way) and hung it up for the day.

GP, read both your reports. Bummer the bite wasn't better especially after dealing with the loco at the launch. Hope they got everything they had coming to them. Guess my not getting out this weekend maybe wasn't a bad thing after all!
