Fished the section that just opened during the morning low tide, and the afternoon high tide.
Float fished the lower Tukwilla area in the morning in hopes of some early silvers, but it was pretty dead. Went home, and came back around 2PM, to fish the incoming tide further upriver. A few were rolling in, and I hooked a couple on jigs, before it went dead. Around slack tide, they all of a sudden started rolling right in front of me. Threw the same colored jig at them, and couldn't get them to bite. Went and tried every color jig I had, until I finally started catching them on a purple and black marabou jig. Hooked quite a few, but only managed to land 8. Fished a little while longer after they rolled on up the river, before calling it a day. Not that bad of an opener, but not anywhere near as good as previous years. Didn't keep any pinks, since they were all bucks.

So those were silvers rolling right in front of you? You landed 8 Coho today in the newly opened section of the Green on a purple/black maribou. That's funny.

Nope not Coho, but dark humped out pinks. Only fished for Coho in the early morning, before fishing another spot for pinks around high tide.
