That river was dangerous tonight. Water level is way up and the water is moving FAST! There were points where I was almost swept off my feet by the current and I was just trying to stand in place! Next time if I come across that, I'm just going to find an area that has shallower water with banks (soccer fields, 5th street, Houston Rd, etc).

Fishing was slow. I'm guessing because the water was moving so fast. I went 1/5 landing a bright pink hen. Saw a nice silver landed by the guy next to me. Saw a few other pinks landed by other guys, and that's about it. Compared to how it's been, tonight was pretty dead.

BE SAFE ON THE RIVER!

The fish are probably hugging the banks where the current isn't so fast.

I tried casting all over the river. Nobody up or down the line was pulling them in like we have been. The water flow doubled in volume over a 24 hour period. The fish were probably just down there hanging on for dear life...LOL
