Hit the Reformatory Hole on the Sky around 7:00 this morning. Fished for an hour with jig/prawn under a float with no luck. Had a few small schools come through. Switched to a straight jig and hooked up six in the next hour. Jig was 1/4 oz, white head/pink body, Fished deep and slow. Bonked one bright hen. From 9:00 to 10:30 there wasn't much happening, still throwing straight jig. Eventually I switched back to jig/prawn/float set up again (pink head, purple body) fished about 11 feet under a slip float . I immediately hooked up, and hooked up several more times in the next hour. Left at 11:30 with a total of 10 hook-ups, 4 landed, and two bright hens bonked (eggs are already curing!). Had 3 long-line releases, and broke 3 off. I am replacing all my old line this evening!
