Epic fishing on the Snohomish this morning. Launched the boat at 7:15 and fished the lower river above Langus. The wife and I both had our limits in less than 90 minutes. What made it even sweeter was the 17 salmon we caught and released afterward! She was fishing a standard pink hoochie jig, but the 2" pink buzz bomb I was using absolutely killed them. There was a period of time where it was "fish on" every cast. We also had lots more bumps that didn't stick...too numerous to count. Not a day we'll soon forget!

Yup...all the fish were nice and bright...and loaded with sea lice.

Nice catch!
Do yourself a favor and cut the gills, bleed and gut those fish right when you net them. Then in the cooler! Keeps your catch as quality as it should be.

snorider...good advice. My fish are bled and put on ice pronto. The photo was taken in the driveway after unloading the cooler and before filleting. Had one for dinner. Whoever says a fresh pink isn't fit for the dinner table either can't cook or doesn't take care of their catch. :)
