Wow! We had so much fun on the Skok, the opener was awesome. I look forward to it every year, tons of fish, tons of people! But we have some secret spots, sans-crowds, that we hit up too.

Started down low, hooked up right quick, a hawg that took me for a walk, couldn't turn it even with the drag cinched all the way down! Lost it in some logs, right back at it, got this nice 11.9 chromer.

Went upstream when the tide came in, hooked some more. My pops hit three, I played with some super hot fish in strong current in the logs, and a good time was had by all!

I'd like to thank fellow WaLaker Woady for fishing with me, we had a blast! Learn some tricks. It was greaty fishing with my father too.

Sorry about that, the second picture is a repeat of a Skykomish king. All of the phone photos have the same names in numbers. You'll get more pictures if you're nice.

Maybe you can restore my faith in this fishery,with all the aggressive tactics and behavior.Seems like what happens on the Skok stays on the Skok,wink wink.Seems if you give the king a chance to bite,give it space,not wading 3/4 of the width of the river.Anybody can strap on 25lb test line,little or no accessories other than a hook or bead and than start ripping.It just kills me to see the blatant tactics,makes you begin to justify what is happing.When in Rome,do as the Roman's did,the lure of the dark side,would like to meet up sometime with you to fish the Skok to restore my faith in it.
