I floated twelve miles down the Yakima last Saturday and landed six small trout. One of the six was a nice 14" and I lost one big rainbow at the side of my kayak that was over 20". All of them were great fighting fish. The entire float I used a #2 Mepps spinner with a red blade, a bronze/red striped body, and a bronze back. The stock treble hook was swapped out for a #8 barbless, siwash hook. I fished at each of our stops and (nearly) free drifted the spinner behind the boat with a slow retrieve to keep it faster than the current and the blade moving. A great day with tons of bites and hits on the spinner. The post says I was in Benton County but I was in Kittitas County near Easton.
