Hit the Green River today with the sole intention of hooking up with big nasty. Big nasty did not disappoint. Found him in one of my favorite holes along Green River Road. This poor guy looked like he did battle with a net and a seal before tangling with me! Guessing he was about a 12 lbs buck. Had net marks on his nose and what looked like a gouge mark from a seal near his tail. Fought like the dickens for being so banged up. Took me about 10 minutes to get him in on my light gear. Released after a quick picture. Never removed him from the water. Had a few other hookups but no more to the bank. It was a beautiful sunny day, but I nearly froze my butt off even with my thermals on.

nice! I went by the 112th footbridge this morning to see if there was any movement and watched about 3 schools of chums work their way upriver porpoising and splashing on the way! At first I thought it was a seal and then realized how many there were and saw the dorsal fins! darn! wish I had grabbed my gear but knew it was a honey-do-day in the yard and would have been in trouble! lol

It was fun to meet you on Friday, sorry for pulling you into my casting quest... :( I started really making progress the next day at the clinic!!! I am pretty stoked to get into this hot and heavy before the winter run kicks up.
