No glamorous report today. Since I forgot my rain coat it was cold, wet, miserable and a fish less day. I fished at 116th st. hole. There are some of my newest jigs. The purple has caught the most, but a variation of the blue/pink was the hot color yesterday. You can see the size difference from steelhead jigs.

I only add shrimp scent, but I might try prawn chunks this year.

I am from the east coast and when we fish steel head we use a jig and a float. Since i have been fishing up here i only use jigs for steel head, but i would like to fish float and jig for Salmon rather corky and yarn. My question to you would be do you normally run your jig towards the bottom of the river or more shallow? I know that it will change day by day, but if you would share with me what is your average depth for best luck?
