Just a Skookumchuck update for those of you that are curious. We were "sort of" in the area so come evening we wanted to check on the river. USGS had the river running at 98cfs. Pretty low. We walked down from the hatchery along the river not seeing much. At the corner hole, not sure what its real name is. (the one with the rock wall.) We saw some boot kings and a dead steelhead. With the water so low we were able to see some fish working along the back wall. They were very energetic zooming up and down the river so I assumed they were silvers or steelhead. My guy Danny hooked into one fish which he had on for a few quick seconds, never did see what it was. Went up to the hatchery to watch the locals try and snag fish from the intake stream. All I saw were some serious boots that they were trying to snag. Though they claimed there were silvers there but the hatchery opened their gates letting them all in. Ha, hatchery worker probably saw them snagging and let the poor fish in. So yeah there are some silvers showing up already, and even some steelhead. Good Luck!

Thanks for the report. Good new to hear about fish moving in. Hopefully the water level comes up a bit. I will be headed down ion the near future with a box full of goodies to see what I can entice.
