Tryed McIntosh after work today to see what the water and bass fishing situation was like. Lake water temp at 4p.m. was 63 degrees. No bass for the couple of hours that lake was fished. Seen a couple of boats that were catching fish out in the middle of the lake anchored and fishing on the bottom. At the launch I watched a regular bank fisherman (Smitty) hook into a nice 19 inch trout battle it all the way to shore while another bank fisher person (Bear) helped him land the fish by grabing his line and pulling up onto the asphalt away from the shore line when all of a sudden the line broke the fish made a few flops and jumps on the ground all the time the two guys are chasing the fish to the water and let out a cry of sorrow as the fish reached the water and swam off. I pulled my boat into shore next to them and asked what they were using for bait and it turned out to be Power Bait Rainbow. As our conversation continued for a few minutes one of the fishermen noticed something strange on the water just about 60 or 70 feet out from shore. It turned out to be a trout that looked to be fairly large so I voluntered to take my boat back out to investigate. I netted the fish which instantly came alive and took it to shore to Smitty who looked over the fish and said it was the one that just got away by the hook that was still in it. Some times it takes more than 1 person to land a fish. Today it took 3 for Smittys catch.
