I guess I'm the only one on here doing reports for the lewis and/or catching fish haha so here is another. Went out last week on the lewis for another good weekend of fishing. Out of all my buddies I had the best luck, and the worst luck. Ended up hooking over 12 fish, but only catching ONE. just an average 30 incher, about 9-10 pounds. Both of my buddies ended up catching one each that were 28 and 29 inches and about 8-9 pounds. saw a few other guys catch about 3 all weekend. Fish were mainly biting on all red jigs at all different depths. Water level was changing rapidly thought each day making it a bit harder to figure out what the fish were doing, and the dam continues to fluctuate its cfm's daily for some reason. That's all for now, planning on going out again next weekend and should have another report then.

Hey KRH!!! Been wanting to go down there. Use to live down there and my dad still does. I was thinking either there or spending the night on the Kalama. Where were you at on Lewis? Did you see any nooks? I'm sure the hog hole is stacked with more people then fish, so was wondering if you were trying other spots.

Thanks for the report. We hear so little about that area down there. Need more reports like that.
Take care

nope haven't seen our heard of any salmon rollin in yet. Honestly I don't even fish during the salmon run do to the sheer number of people. But usually during the summer-run I fish at the haapa park. Not many people fish there because they don't think it is productive, but I can say otherwise. Don't know too much about the kalama river, so I would suggest spending your time on the lewis fishin steelies because it is H.O.T right now despite what anyone else says. Hopefully you get out there soon and good luck!
