Went to fish the river after work. Fished down below the 512 bridge for about 2.5 hours from 4:30 til 7. Hooked up into my fish about 1.5 hours of fishing. It felt great to finally get a salmon back on in a river. I couldn't wait for the 1st of August to arrive and get a chance at catching some salmon out of my home river. Fought the fish for about 10 mins, he wasn't very big(9.2 lbs) compared to others I've caught, but he sure had some spunk and I really appreciated the fight. Fella down river walked up with a net and netted him for me, we checked for the adi-fin...Nada. Walked him up onto the gravel bar and bonked him. Lights out.... First kill of the year. I didn't see anyone else hook up or land a fish and I only caught the one fish, but I gave it a 5 because it was the first kill of the year and I have been waiting so long to hook into a salmon again.

Side Note: Its great that there isn't any trash build up on the banks. Let's try to keep it that way and don't let people get away with that crap. Leave the river looking better than when you got there.
