Well i tried the cascade river today due to the dropping water and a report i got on some fish moving in. We actually did decent! First thing, i lost a nice chrome springer. THen, about 30 minutes later, i hooked and landed this HUGE cascade river summer run wild steelhead! The pic doesnt do it justice, as i had to hold it low and close to keep in legally in the water, but it was an easy 14-15 pounder, huge! Anyway, after releasing him, my buddy hooked a huge king, over 15 pounds and losing it when it goes airborn. Then I land a small 6 lb wild chinook and release. Then my buddy hooks up again, it PEELS line downriver and breaks off... Then my buddy hooked up again and landed another 6-8 pound wild springer, then the sun came out and the bite was done. Most fish on eggs, one on spoon and one on yarnie with corkee. Saw at least 10 hooked downriver, and 3-4 hooked upriver, i was fishing hatch hole. No people are fishing anymore, only 2-3 guys in each hole. All springers were chrome, except the big one my buddy lost in mid air, he was a darkie

Everyone is fishing for sockeye thats why cascade isnt crowded. Plus the sky is producing allot of good steelhead.
