Went to to Reiter for the evening bite. Tried different colored corkies. Guys around us were hooking up so I thought it was only a matter of time for me. Beautiful evening, and the water looked "fishy." Guy next to me had to have hooked up at least 6 times in the two hours we were there. I moved to above the creek intake and 3rd cast fish on. Got her in, a nice little summer steelhead! My first summer steelie! Nice guy netted her for me! Lotsa fish in the river! Went 1 for 1 so I felt lucky I got her in since the guy next to me never got any of the fish he hooked in. Awesome finish to an evening. Was using apx 3ft leader with a small rocket red corkie.

Congrats on your first summer run! Hopefully you noticed how much harder they fight than their winter siblings.

Right on! I love the earrings! It must have been a formal fishing trip! :) We've had a nice bite these past few days.

Ha yeah Ive always got something going on before I head out to fish. Seen plenty of fish, seemed like every guy there had a fish and some with limits, and consistent hookups. Wish I had the time to return.

I LOVE my pflueger president and shimano sienna. Not high class reels as I am a poor student. But they've been through a lot and still perform great!
