Hit the river at the crack of...9 am. Fished above and below the Lewis St Bridge. Found some kings halfway to the confluence but no steelies. The Kings were caught side drifting eggs (Ray's Bait in borax) with a blue and pink corkie - all were released even though they were hatchery due to the new lack of season this year on the Sky. Got one on the boat by mistake (couldn't tell whether it was a steelie or not) and popped the other off on the rail. Several more on that day.
This might sound like a dissappointing day due to the fact that dinner was peanut butter sandwiches instead of grilled salmon...good weather and great friends more than made up for it! I do hope that the efforts on the Sky enable a season of some sort next year!
